‘I got my school report:
LEEDS EDUCATION AUTHORITY
ALL SAINTS’ C/E MIDDLE SCHOOL
Headteacher: N. J. MARTIN
Cross Aysgarth Mount,
Leeds
LS9 9AD
Tel. No. 450944
This report is issued as a supplement to the Mid-Year Report, which was completed last February. It is intended to give a brief summary of a pupil’s progress during the latter part of the present academic year.
Name: Ritcherd Jones
Class: IP
Date: July 1980
Punctuality: good
Attendance: 144/144
Behaviour: Ritcherd’s behaviour has been good. He has a very sensible, mature attitude, both in and out of the classroom.
Comments: After a rather hesitant start, Ritcherd has settled down well at All Saints. I am glad to see he has made some good friends. His ability in English is outstanding and very mature for his age, as are his drawings and paintings. I wish he would work as hard at his Maths, which is disappointing. Basic adding and subtracting seem to be a problem. He must ask for help when unsure of something, as extra help will be given.
Class Teacher: J. Perkins

‘Birdy and I went to the School Disco, 7.30pm – 9.30pm. This was my first ever school disco and it was great. In the annexe, I snogged with Ellen Barratt and we started going out with each other. I never knew she liked me. I think she looks like Paul’s old girlfriend Suzanne Young, which is good.’
