Resignation Day

10:10am:

‘Back Planet’ – The Sisters of Mercy

I’VE ONLY JUST GOT UP, BUT GOD, I HAD AN ACTUAL TEAR IN MY EYE WHEN I HEARD THAT MARGARET THATCHER HAD RESIGNED AS PRIME MINISTER.  I’M NO TORY, BUT I HAVE TO SAY IT CAME AS A BIT OF A SHOCK.  HER LEGACY MAY NOT BE GREAT, BUT HOW WILL THIS AFFECT THE COUNTRY NOW?  SHE WAS A STRONG, POWERFUL LEADER AND I DON’T SEE MANY THAT SEEM ABLE TO REPLACE HER.  CONSERVATIVE POLICY IS NOT TO BE ADMIRED BUT SHE WAS A TRUE LEADER AND WE MIGHT NEED SUCH LEADERSHIP WITH WAR LOOMING.  SHE TOLD THE PUBLIC SHE’D FIGHT HER CAMPAIGN AND WIN, AND I BELIEVED SHE WOULD HAVE DONE – SO WHY DID SHE CHANGE HER MIND?  WHO MADE HER?

Later:

My No.1: ‘Jesus Loves Amerika’ by The Shamen

Well, today I bought the cassingle of ‘MORE’ by The Sister of Mercy, along with the video collection ‘SHOT’.
