People I'd Love To See

LATE

‘Glass Onion’ – The Beatles

I’ve been at Elbow’s all day today and it’s been great.  We love The Beatles, you know!

Well, with Flash’s clear-out in readiness for university, I’ve inherited all the SITUATION tapes we’ve recorded over the years (since 1985).  I’ve been listening to some of them and they’re great.  Very strange to be able to listen to Jenny Taylor and Alison Ford and all the others from my first term at NORCAT on Christmas II (from 1986).

PEOPLE I’D LOVE TO SEE:

DONNA DAVIDSON
(I love her; she’s linked to me; I want to be with her)

AMY NEAT
(I’ve been a sod to her; I’d like to spend time with her; sex even)

SOPHIE FISHER
(I think she’s great and I ‘fancy’ her)

MAGGIE
(I love her and I want to know what went ‘wrong’)

EMMA GODDARD
(I want to be her friend)

JULIAN
(I want to laugh and he’s good fun)

DARREN MARSH
(I want his puckish conversation)

SCARLETT KANE
(I want to get to know her and tell her how much I miss her lessons)

LILITH
(I think I have a spiritual affinity with her and I miss her)

EDDIE MOSES
(I used to think he was great; now I just want to say ‘Ey up’ again)

JENNY TAYLOR
(I love her a lot and want to know what she’s up to)

NATALIA WNEK
(I want to know what’s up)

JOHNNY BADCOCK
(I do miss him)

KENNETH FARNHAM
(He’s just an element that’s missing; naffness embodied)

GLENN + AMY
(They were lovely; I want to talk some more with them)

SIMON NIGHTINGALE
(He’s just nice to be around)

MARY-JANE FERGUSON
(I love her a lot and miss her)

MANDA JONES
(Miss her badly)

STAN FLOWERS
(He’s one of my best mates)

GEMMA WINCHESTER
(I want to say ‘Thanks for the birthday cake’ and be her friend)

WILL DANIELS
(I do miss him; he was brilliant)

SIMON LEWIS
(I want to re-establish our friendship)

SUZI
(I want to talk deeply with her)

WENDY MACKINTOSH
(I want to apologise and be friends)

‘Norwegian Wood’ – The Beatles

So far, it feels the pinnacle of my life – the period I’m most nostalgic for – is probably the first term of BTEC in 1988
