A Letter from Bonnie Langford

LATE

‘Voodoo Chile’ – Jimi Hendrix

I am home at BLACKBERRY NARROW – with lots of letters!  One from MARCH LIBRARY who are looking into my job application; a letter from NORCAT regarding PCAS and my options for enrolling at polytechnic if I decide that’s the path I should take; bumf from MENSA (Cheers, Flash!); Donna Davidson’s letter telling me what she’s been up to and telling me how much she loves AND fancies me before heading off to an army base bar-b-q; Amy Neat’s letter, which picks up the story of Donna by telling me Donna has met and fallen in love with a squaddie!  (Amy now lives in the same student house as Lili, but they don’t talk; a theatre company rejection letter (piss and fuck!); but here’s my best letter…

Hand typed envelope, and post-marked TWICKENHAM

Dear Ritcherd,

Thank you for your letter and I am so pleased you have enjoyed my appearances as ‘Mel’ in the Dr. Who series.

I am happy to send you a signed photograph for your collection, but at present there are no plans to come to your area for a while as I shall be appearing in CINDERELLA at the Wimbledon Theatre for the Christmas Season.

With love from,

BONNIE X

She sent me a gorgeous new picture of herself with her gorgeous new hairstyle, in vest, leather belt and jeans.  She signed it: TO RITCHERD, WITH LOVE, BONNIE X

It is bloody gorgeous!

WHAT A GREAT THING TO COME HOME TO!

‘For You Blue’ – The Beatles

Oh, Fergie rang and she’s well.  Johnny rang and he’s now engaged to Missy.  He says he hates Amy and Fergie and really wants to see me.

There’s also some good job news, with options to apply for Shakespeare tour auditions and another library job.
