LATE IN THE EVENING…
‘Touch Me’ – The Doors
I spent most of today at my Dad’s house.
But, all beautifully-crafted things are shattered in time, and now, due to work commitments, Natalia Wnek will not be accompanying us on holiday. And I feel very heavy at heart because of this. It will not be the same and I really needed her to be there. She said it would be the same without her, and that she’s quite sure that her being there or not will have no impact on the success or otherwise of the holiday.
But now we will never know each other.
I was close to tears when she broke the news. I feel no better now. I find myself yearning for her to be with us. Why isn’t she going to be with us? Why?
Oh, I know why, I’m just being a big baby. It’s work. And all that. But there will be an emptiness in my heart this holiday, Nat. An emptiness that I’ll feel for a long time. Especially when you move to Essex in September. Oh, you vicious cow, why did you have to hurt me like this?
