Doctor Who Trivia

7.15pm.

‘Poison Door’ – The Sisters of Mercy

STEVE STEVENS’ HAYRE IS SKILL!  HE’S ON THE NEW MICHAEL JACKSON VIDEO (‘Dirty Diana’) AND HE LOOKS GRETT!

The TARDIS bleeds into reality, as shimmering trails of vortex energy swirl from the light on top of the Police Box…

DOCTOR WHO – a regular column, this…

KATE O’MARA who plays the Rani advertises ELECTRICITY or something with RICHARD BRIERS, the Chief Caretaker.

KEITH BARRON, who played Striker (Enlightenment, 1983), advertises TELETEXT.

I’m fed up with ‘DOCTORIN’ THE TARDIS’ by THE JUSTIFIED ANCIENTS OF MU MU (or as you trendies call them, THE TIMELORDS).

Give Us A Clue, which I don’t usually watch but caught a glimpse of tonite, was a rite DOCTOR WHO jamboree.  It featured:

SANDRA DICKINSON, the wife of 5TH DOCTOR, PETER DAVISON (and co-star in JOHN NATHAN-TURNER’S 1983 production of CINDERELLA);

KEITH BARRON, who played STRIKER in ENLIGHTENMENT, 1983;

LIZA GODDARD, who played KARI in TERMINUS, 1983, and is also the ex-wife of COLIN BAKER, THE 6TH DOCTOR;

and BONNIE LANGFORD, the companion, MEL BUSH, from 1986 and 1987.

DOCTOR WHO IN SOAPS

FRAZER HINES, the companion JAMIE MCCRIMMON is still in EMMERDALE FARM.

MARK EDEN, who played Marco Polo in MARCO POLO, 1964, is ALAN BRADLEY in CORONATION STREET.

OTHER NEWS

SYLVESTER MCCOY is to leave his role as the 7TH DOCTOR at the end of the 1989 series.  This is good news.  Don’t get me wrong, he’s great, I like him, but I like the development.  If only they’d invest some time in developing an actual Doctor’s character a real lot, so we can see them go through changes as we watch, instead of waiting for a new actor.

I am reading IAN MARTER’s THE DOMINATORS at the moment and it is quite good.

Oh, and SARAH GREENE from ATTACKOF THE CYBERMEN, 1985, advertises NESCAFÉ.

Later:

FRIDAY NITE!

‘Flood II’ – The Sisters of Mercy

MY

HAYRE

RIGHT

NOW…

IT’S SKILL!

It is huge and backcombed and crimped to buggery.  It is precise and perfect and vast and voluminous.  It is the best I have ever done.  I am amazed at how perfectly it has gone…

With my cheeks sucked in, I look gorgeous, honest.

Later:

‘I Call Your Name’ - The Mamas & the Papas

Well.  I got in touch with FLASH on FRIDAY and arrangements for his SUMMER VISIT were made.  He will arrive in CAMBRIDGESHIRE on THURSDAY.
