Snow On Leeds

‘Boys and Girls’ – The Human League

A lovely day today – yet more snow, which was pleasing, and a trip to Leeds with very little money.  Huh!  Well, well, well.  One Strawberry Switchblade record (‘Who Knows What Love Is?’ 12-inch) and two Marvel comics.  Flash slipping on the ice and Leeds looking like London.  We got lost in Leeds, somehow.  That was beautiful.  Then, back, back.  To Ashton.  Hi, Dad.  Hello, boys.  ABC and Kate Bush on Dad’s video.  1985, ahoy!  OR WHAT?  Some squiggles.  At Flash’s, Make-Up, here on a visit.  Hi, boys!  Hi, Make-Up, long time no see.  How goes it?  It’s going well fine, thanks, boys.  Elliot ‘Elbow’ Barlow on the phone.  Great.  And some time spent with paella.  A time of messing about.  Being ace/crap.  Recording Situation stuff.  ‘Is Make-Up bored?’ we cry!  He says not.  We reminisce; me getting hit in the eye with a violin case, Make-Up weeing on a classroom floor, the good and the bad days.  The ‘Early ‘80s’ as opposed to Now.  And remember St Mary, ’85?  Beatrice Miranda Wasp?  THE days.  Or rather not.  But good times, gone.  And so.  Make-Up had to go.  And Make-Up was gone.  Flash and Ritcherd remained to talk about the changing face of FIGHTING FORCE comics (look out for ish one of The Possessed, true believers!).  A crap horror movie and coffee, coffee, coffee.  Penguin biscuits, Amazing Spider-Man 300 and Hulk versus The Avengers.

And so, to bed…
