My No.1: ‘Wasteland (Extended Mix)’ – The Mission
I missed the bus this morning, so I wandered around Wisbech listening to – amongst others – The Cult, Bowie and Bauhaus on my personal stereo. The best thing, though, was the 12-inch mix of ‘Wasteland’ by The Mission, which is excellent.
Anyway, in my frosty wander around that downtown groovy, spaz, hip-hole, I bumped into Nicky Brown.
It was brilliant to see her again after so long. We chatted in Burger Me about her job, Tech, Melba Dench and relationships. It was really nice to see her again. I miss her. By the way, Flash, she thinks you’re cute.
Whilst waiting for the bus, who should pass me but Jayne Tyler – crying! She didn’t even acknowledge my existence, either. Well! I ask you!
Getting quite bored waiting for a bus, I went to OXFAM to see what I could see. Well, I saw an amahzingly great coat for £7.00, which was q. weird ‘n’ smart. After a lot of persuading, the woman behind the counter agreed to save it for me until tomorrow so I can buy it.
And so. I went to technical College for the Well Weird. And I met Sexy Sadie again for a few minutes. I think I REALLY, REALLY fancy her now!
I also wished Wanda luck with her driving test. And then I dossed off to THE VIDEODOME for a while.
Oh, it is Mr Bowie’s birthday!
Happy Birthday, David. Life begins at 40!!!
