Goodbye to Yorkshire

‘Violin’ – Kate Bush

I met up with Make-Up and we went down to Danyel ‘Flash’ Gordon’s. We all went out for a coffee – literally one coffee between the three of us.

Make-Up and I then returned Aunty Vi’s to be picked up by Mum. It turned out she was running late, because she’d had a row with Paul about access to Jack, so Make-Up and I went back to Flash’s for a while.

After we watched Propaganda on Bliss, I said goodbye to Flash (following what’s been one heck of a long summer holiday), and Mum and Freddie brought us back to their home, Blackberry Narrow, in Wisbech St Mary, where I’m now going to be living. This means I have officially moved to Cambridgeshire (although I'll still be going to the same school, etc).

For now, Make-Up and I are staying in the caravan in the yard (my new room will have to be built from scratch, so this will be my room for a few months), which is great. Tonight we are going to sleep out under the stars and listen to Propaganda and Kate Bush.

OLD DIARY ENTRIES…

This time 2 years ago:
‘The highlight of the day was seeing an excerpt of Marilyn in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes on TV.’

This time last year:
‘Went to Aunty Vi’s for a bit, then called for Birdy. We went to Castleford on the bus and saw my Gran Winterfood and Annie, my Dad’s wife. Bought 2000AD 379

…Back in Pontefract, I went into town with Martin, my cousin. I’m staying at Aunty Vi’s.’
