‘My last afternoon in Yorkshire. Paul took me out to the Ridings Shopping Centre, and I went comic hunting. I got Marvel Team-Up 145 (okay), Marvel Tales 168 (good), Peter Parker/Spectacular Spider-Man 94 (good), Alpha Flight 14 (good), Uncanny X-Men 185 (very good indeed – great John Romita Jr art) and Amazing Spider-Man 256 (which was just brilliant)...

…Then Daphne and Giles picked me up and brought me back home to West Walton.’
